Introducing Tell me, Show me, Let me, Test me
When designing tailored learning and performance support solutions, TACTICS applies a learning methodology based on four learning modes:
• Tell me.
• Show me.
• Let me.
• Test me.
Tell me informs the learner
The "Tell me" mode presents the knowledge, skills and attitudes in words and appeals to those who learn through language, by listening.
Show me demonstrates to the learner
The "Show me" mode exemplifies knowledge, skills, and attitudes visually and appeals to those who learn through example, by watching.
Let me allows the learner to practise.
The "Let me" mode encourages exploration, reflection, application, and reinforcement of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. It does this through activities that appeal to those who learn through experience, by doing or reflecting.
Test me evaluates the learning
The "Test me" mode validates how much the learner already knows (pre-test) or confirms how much they have learnt (post-test). It confirms competency and assesses skills mastery through activity.
