Description
In Writing Web Content you will learn to write reader-focused content for online to ensure your web users find the information they need.
Who should attend?
Writing Web Content is for people who:
• write, edit or maintain website content
• read, share or have input into Intranet content
This workshop covers:
• Types of websites
• Challenges for web writers and readers
• Analysing content for the web
• How to present information on the web
• Writing scannable Plain English web content
• Converting paper-based information to web content
• Writing effective links
• Using sound, animation, video and pod-casts on the web
• Creating a sitemap, an advance organiser and an index
Examples and exercises
Practical examples and exercises are spread throughout the day and help learners apply the concepts taught in the workshop.
This workshop does not cover:
• website graphic design, HTML, scripting or other technical skills.
• in-depth documentation or reference material
• business communications.
Prerequisites
Participants must have successfully completed the TACTICAL Writing Foundation one day module.
Cost
Public: $770 (GST inc.) per person
In-house: $550 (GST inc.) per person
